    Hi Lukas,
good to hear you liked the review!
    regarding your questions:
    1. yes it is easy. there is plenty of space (at least where I was there approx 5 years ago). but i would wonder why this would change. in front of the venue there was lot of space and even more on the other big beaches. Yes there are tides but there is always enough water to kite
    2. supermarket in walking distance: no, biking ok but I would definitely recommend to rent a car for buying supplies and also driving to the other beaches as i guess you will not stick only to one.
    3. cost of meal, can not remember exactly but I think a main dish was around 10-15€ so normal mid-european. dont expect cheapness but it’s also not super expensive to live. of course there are luxury restaurants which are very expensive. but the garden grill was normal for carribean level.
    4. Also can not remember exactly but I think around 50%-60% of the time, So it was not always on. but I liked that there is also quiet time for checking out the island!
    Regards,
    Mathias

    Hi James,
For what you describe you dont need 4wd. 4wd is more impirtant you go to the north. Around coral Bay and more north there may be more dirtroads where 4wd is recommended but how often will you drive the 1k km up? If you do you could rent for a short amount of time. For perth around you definitely dont need it.
Actually on my trip the only place where i missed 4wd was the entry to wedge Island. There is no go without 4wd.
    Enjoy your stay ;)

Hi Tom, Pointe Faule, the spot directly is extremly shallow. I would not advice to go foiling there. also cap chevalier is not deep enough. I think most of the time you will have to walk out till it’s deeper. If you prefer foiling most the time there are better spots than martinique. In Martinique you have great flatwater spots and areas which are most fun for freestyle or just cruising around (without foil) :) I was there almost 10 years ago, so my memories are already limited. if you want to know for sure write one of the kiteschools listed on my site! regards, mathias
