German Snowkite Champion 2010, yeah it sounds so good (smile). It has been my first snowkite contest, which I’ve been waiting for years. I came third place in the international judging after Remi and Heinar and won the German Championship. It was a hell of fun shredding the obstacles and doing handlepasses on snow. At Saturday evening the wind forecast looked pretty bad, so everybody celebrated massive on the fabulous Schwerelosigkite party. All in all it had been an awesome weekend! Read more ...

Early in the morning we arrived on the island. So we still had a lot of time to check out the spots. The next days it will be windy and the waves as high as today – i like! Hey folks, I’m back on the road. Just chilling at the railway station and wait for the next train to the middle of Germany. The plan is to be on the waku to ride the first session tomorrow. Perhaps we are lucky again to witness one of these very random perfect days wiht blue sky, fresh powder and wind. So far so good, hopefully a lot of good pictures are following. cu on the highest mountain in Middle Germany…

On Saturday I met my brother and some friends to enjoy a few good days in the alps. It was just insane. 30 centimeters of powder on my first day back in the snow. I’m loving it. At first we went on some hikes to get into snowboarding again after the long summer season. We found a sweet lip to use as a take off, and started out the season with an epic kicker session. My brothers grabs in front of the backdrop of the Starnberger See and my first Backflip 180 in black and white. Yesterday it began to warm up again. Last spring I spend a weekend on the Wasserkuppe, which was absolutely unique. We call the highest mountain in Middle Germany tenderly “Waku”. The name stands for incredible fast weather changes, strong winds and the place to be for snowkiting. We were damned lucky to witness one of these very random perfect days: 20 knots, blue sky and fresh powder. We took photos with three external flashlights. My feet felt like after a marathon. But it made so much fun to do 540s, rodeo flips, inverted rolls… over the kicker, that we continued the session the half night! So far we are planing the next trip.
