As I am not competing at the World Championship in Fuerteventura, I will explain you a little bit how has gone. The competition was run with a really strong wind conditions. There were gusts of 50 knots!

The boys rode with a lot of power but not with a high technical level. The final of the single elimination was between the dutch Kevin and Youri. The two threw pretty nice tricks, one after the other, with the kite low and smooth. The truth is that the heat was very tied. Kevin land a Frontmobe-Pass which gave him the victory. Aaron lost against Youri in the semifinal, but finally held the podium in third potion. The results were: Kevin, Youri, Aaron and Reno. In the double elimination everything changed. Aaron advance in all the heats till the final, which was against Kevin. Was very disputed, but the power gave the first position to the world champion.

The girls kited quite well, the technical level in this race was high. In the final was Bruna Kajiya the brazilian, versus Aisa Litwin, the Polish 15 years old. Was like in the men’s very close heat. Asia landed a Blind Judge and a S-bend Pass as Bruna, but Litwin did it more powerful. Before the end of the heat, Bruna landed a Blindjudge 3 that gave her the winner. The results were: Bruna, Asia, Karolina and Angela. As different as boys, the final of the women in double was the same. Bruna against Asia. Bruna was the winner with a very varied heat with 3 handlepasses.

For me to be able to come to the Fuerteventura event was great. I really enjoy this time here like a holidays and watching at the best riders competing in the water giving a great show. Although all, I would liked to compete. The best thing is that I’m almost recovered from the injury and will soon return to attack.
