Sebastian Bubmann: Back to Vancouver

Here we are, back in civilization. The event was over on Sunday and we just stayed couple of days more to do some whale – watching, canyoning and relaxed kiting. Just a great time! We’ll drop of two people tomorrow morning at the airport and then make our way to Squarmish!

Heard good things about the place. There’s a massive spit with flat water on the leeward side! Oh yeah … it’s been a lot of chop the last week. I wanna ride in flat water so bad. Read more ...

Mike Schitzhofer: Fuerteventura and chillin at home…

My last competition went really good. It was the Pkra tourstop on Fuerteventura and I could finish it in 7th position. I’m pretty stoked about the result. In the singleelemination I was able to beat Sebastian Garat and in the Doubleelemination I could win against Cesar Portas. In the heat for the 6th place I was up against Alberto Rondina who is riding very strong in the moment. We had a sick and actionloaded heat with the better end for Alberto. He won in a close 3:2 desicion. Read more ...

So, Monday morning … the event is over and I’ve got to say – I loved it!! So sick … everybody was having a good time and we were also lucky with the wind yesterday. We could finish all disciplines. Long distance race, boardercross and freestyle. Won it all! Pretty stoked about that. Was so cool in the finals with these massive speakers right at the beach having some cool tunes while kiting and the crowd cheering for you … so awesome! Read more ...

Mario Rodwald: German Champion 2010

Last weekend the last tourstop here in Germany took place. This weekend there hasn´t been much wind at the south of the island but after winning in Dahme and Büsum I´ve been first in the ranking and could stay relaxed. The racers had a little breeze to finish four runs and the freestyle rider had to concentrate on the night plans. On Saturady it was enough wind in the north of Fehmarn and we had a short session before we went to the party. My dad had his first racing season and could finish 3rd in the overall ranking! Congratulations. For me it´s been the fourth titel now! Happy to finish a good season here in Germany I will focus on the international events now.

Sebastian Bubmann: Lake Nitinaht, Canada/BC

Hey folks,

the spot is mind blowing here! It’s a little choppey but apart from that whenever the sun is shining and the temperature – gradient is big enough it’s blowing with 20kts+. In the lake there’s a big wale (the lake is connected to the sea) that show’s up every here and then to breathe. After Mike and friends picked me up at Vancouver airport we took the next ferry to Victoria, slept over there and then hit the road to Lake Nitinaht. It was so crazy … we drove on the dirtroad for several hours seeing nothing but trees and a few rivers. Arriving at the campground I wouldn’t wanna believer there’s a kitespot here until I spotted the first kites in between the trees. The wind is so smooth here, it’s amazing!! Read more ...

Youri Zoon: 1ste Pkra Tenerife

Jihaa today we finished the Doubel eleminiation of the Freestyle here in Tenerife.

The wind looked strong for 6m but during the heats it was dropping a little,so i went from pumping my 6 to riding my 10 hahah.

Andy came from 3th place and had a good heat against Seb Garat, so it was me against him in the final and the wind kicked in full. I was lit on my 10m but it was al or nothing and i went full power on it. had a pretty good heat wit lots of power and it was enough to win this event here in Tenerife. Read more ...

Aaron Hadlow: Gran Canaria and Ep 4 and 5

Last week I was in Gran Canaria shooting the last episode of our On The Loose TV show and Online Series. It was a fun week with some really strong wind, massive Mega Loops and some good Freestyle too. We met up with the Windsurfing Legend Bjorn Dunkerbeck who showed us the local spots and also our mate Gianni Aragno came out for a couple of days towards the end of the trip. So keep following Ruben and I in On The Loose, then you can see if he makes his new Mega Loops stunt. New episodes are out now. In the latest one you can see my trip to the Dom Rep where I was hitting some rails and also see how Ruben is recovering. Coming up next is some snow kiting in Norway with some crazy footage. Mario Rodwald: Pkra Fuerte 7th

After I finished 9th in Germany I went straight to the Canary Islands to get ready for the next event. We had a North foto and video shoot in the north of the island and it´s been super fun to ride with the whole team again! I´ve never been in the south and a took my a little to get used to the rough conditions. In the mornings the headjudge decided to run some races and we could sleep a little longer. My first heat has been against Forest Bakker and then Rondina kicked me out in the singles. For the doubles I decided to take a bit more risk and tried to land the tricks more powered. First heat I won against a local from Teneriffe and then it´s been the French rider Heyes. Fighting for the 7th had to go against my team mate Reno. He missed some tricks in the beginning and I could take that one. Like in Germany Youri ended the doubles for me. Yesterday I had a super sick session together with Mike Schitzhofer and now I am getting ready for the German Championship in Fehmarn.

Jule Hosp: Fuerteventura

The Worldcup on Fuerteventura went by super fast. I have been here on the island as one of my most stops in my kiteboarding career, even though I dont like the place too much. 5 Times to be exact!!! We hat heaps of stuff to do every day: Judging, writing reports, get pictures and edit some online things. The last days I caught a cold, and was tied to the bed :-( Still, I managed to ride for a few hours every day, even though the conditions are pretty crappy.... Read more ...

Sebastian Bubmann: Canada

Well … it’s been ages since I actually wrote something here. To cut a long story short. Many exams were the reason I nearly had no time to go ride and train the last weeks. In addition to that I broke my wrist on the cable park and had to take a break. Now it should be fully healed and I hope so much I can ride again without any problems. On Wednesday I’ll be catching a flight to Vancouver/BC to meet our importer Mike Dowie – flysurfer.ca – and travel around Vancouver Island a bit. Starting with an event on lake Nitinat coming weekend and another event in Squarmish the following weekend. Read more ...

Youri Zoon: Thats it for fuerte.

Thats it thats al.

I worked my way up a bit in the doubels to a 4th place. Had a couple of good heats and had to fight for 3th place against andy.

But after riding 5 heats in a row , i had to ride against a fresh rider. I made a couple of mistake,s in that heat so Andy was the better rider in that heat and i ended up in 4th place.   Read more ...

Fuerte not being as i hoped for can we say.

Today we finished the Singels first heat i passed quit easy , rode solid and had some good tricks.

Seconds heat i was up against Ariel corniel and i need to beat him to get to the quarter final, but that didnt happen.

When i came back to the beach i was quit sure i won the heat, had powerd trick, variation and switch trick.

But the judges thought different and i lost in a close 3-2 decision in favour of Ariel. Read more ...

Jan Schiegnitz: Roadmovie trip

Yesterday we, that is Oli Panny, Henning Sandström, Christophe Tack and Tom Schüller met in Hvide Sande for a kiteboarding roadmovie. The wind was okay, so we searched for obstacles. We found a picknick table and started to shoot. The film crew around Martina Chamrad, Steffen Borschart, Moritz Bock and Kalle put a action cam in my kite. Here a screenshot from the action cam.
