These days many riders seem to visit Thailand … a few years ago it was Australia everybody started talking about. Ages ago it was Tarifa … now – Thailand! Also the PKRA added a main event + a qualifier event in Hua Hin this year. The KTA will be holding an event right after the PKRA. Read more ...

The last stop of the german Kitesurf – Trophy was ok but unfortunately the winddirection was really bad and gusty so we went to the other side of the island and filmed for an hour or so. Not too many shots came out of the shoot but it was enough for “a few seconds on Fehmarn”.

Here’s what came out of a 10 min filming session in some of the strongest winds we had during our stay in Hamata 09. It was blowing with about 35kts. I was out on my 8m and Yusca on his 6m PSYCHO4. Since the water was only ankle – deep it was a bit scary but luckily allour gear lastet and we had so much fun!! But see for yourself …

Finally my training in Southafrica is over. I had a absolute great time and I just can’t get enough of this amazing country. The last two weeks my girlfriend joined me and we had a beautiful time with perfect windconditions. We also had a pretty bad experience when somebody broke into our car and stole some stuff out of it…
Now I’m at home. Today I had a nice and long interview at an austrian radiostation and a fotoshooting for a teenagermagazine from Austria, called “MISS”… Read more ...

There is this double page in a kiteboarding magazine of me. Funny enough though because they advertise for some spots around the world. This picture was taken at my homespot in Germany. Apparantely my homespot is the best in the world. Glad that this is offical now :) Other than that, it’s really nice here in WA still. Yesterday we went to Xavier Rudd. Brilliant as usual and his new band rocks as well. Tomorrow is The Cat Empire on. Obviously I am living a great life at the moment. The swell also has gotten bigger. So surfing is a lot of fun. It is still windy everyday as well and my body is begging me for a break. But no chance. You have to take what you are given and that is perfect conditions at the moment. That’s it so far again. Here is a little clip of a Front Blind Mobe in Point Walter, Perth.
We’re having good winds almost everydays, the spot is amazing. Too bad I have to leave in 10 days, but I guess I’ll enjoy Thailand as well.
Filmed and cut by James Boulding.
Enjoy.

For the wallpaper of the month of March, I’ve chosen a waveshot that was taken by Russell Ord on some heavy swell day on the coast of Western Australia. Yeah, I still remember this crazy session, like yesterday…
In the morning on waking up on the farm that I stay at here in W.A. I could already feel it, ‘Swell had hit’, I was absolutely positive. I jumped in my car, the sun had only just risen, beautiful light everywhere through the giant gum trees, and speeded to the Ocean… Yeah JOY, the surf’ was up, and even bigger than forecasted! We stayed for 3 days in plettenberg bay and al of the days we had a lot of rain, but we did kite as well.
Yesterday we had some nice surf in the afternoon, quit big and tubing so pretty tuff. This morning we checked the waves again but it was completely rubbish, so we left towards Hermanus, on our way there we decided to stop as well in Struisbaai where we are now. Read more ...
